Plan B {aka Easter Recap}

Gotta love Ohio in spring, eh?  I think we're going on our eleventy-billionth day of rain.  But I'm not going to complain . . . I'm pretty sure our friends in our former hometown of Chicago saw snow last week. Hmph.

Why do I mention the wet stuff? Well, the rain totally squashed our plans to attend the superfun Easter Egg hunt in our community (actually, the event was cancelled as the park & fields where they hold it now resemble a lake).  So alas, with Grandma & Grandpa & Uncle Mark in town we resorted to setting up a mini Easter Egg hunt in our house.  Our "plan B".

{Bennett is going through what I'll call his "teenage girl" phase.  If you look at him the wrong way, ask him politely to "shhh" or tell him no about something he pulls this face.  And then pitiful tears follow soon after.}

Our "plan B" also included taking the kids to see "Rio" in the theater by our house.  They enjoyed their lunch of "kopcorn" and were treated with a surprise set of  Rio silly-bands provided by the theater.  Score!!

On Sunday we went to (an empty) Easter morning mass and then we hosted brunch at our house.  Even "Aunt" Leslie joined us!  Tim cooked up yet another fabulous meal and we were all in a food coma shortly after.

Only thing I'll add after all of these pictures is it is a good thing we're all going on vacation soon . . . Mama (and B&K) are pasty white!  We desperately need some sunshine & color!
