Easta Bundy (and egg hunt)

Tim's company hosted an Easter Egg hunt and visit from the "Easta Bundy" last Saturday. Lucky us -- we received a freak snow storm early Friday morning, so the field/campus was all snowy and muddy. But the kids didn't seem to mind. The weather had creeped back up into the 40s and the snow had started to melt, which was a good thing. B&K weren't quite as fast as some of the other kids (I think we scored a total of 10 eggs. Which isn't a tragedy considering the hunt for under age 5 included "toys" that were a TOTAL choking hazard for kids B&K's age!!). We then moved indoors where all children could get a picture with the "Easta Bundy" and eat the most amazing frosted cut-out cookies known to mankind.

So here are a few pics from our adventure. {and you'll notice that "Baby" joined us for the festivities as well}

Pigtails!!!

Ok, get ready for it. I was looking through our camera tonight and realized I had a TON of pictures on there that I need to get out here. So I'm hoping to get a few posts up this week. {but don't hold your breath}.

First up, REAL pigtails on Kendyll!!! We thought her hair would NEVER get long enough. But I played around with it last weekend and low & behold, it goes up perfectly. So enjoy these pics of miss thang.

And speaking of miss "I'm working on my academy award nomination for most dramatic two year old" . . . we had quite a scary week with her last week. She and Bennett had been fighting a nasty cough for almost 2 weeks. Suddenly last week she spiked a fever over 103. And it stayed there overnight. A trip to the pedi's office resulted in a "slight pneumonia" and ear infection diagnosis. We had a bit more of a scare that afternoon (did you know pneumonia can cause your limbs to turn blue and you to shake uncontrollably from the fever? Yeah, neither did we). But thankfully Kendyll is totally on the mend . . . the super-duty antibiotics have kicked in hard core, thankfully!

Here are B&K one night last week watching their new favorite movie, Monsters, Inc (or MONSTA!! MONSTA!! as they call it. They also beg for the little girl "BABY! BABY!" to come on the screen). And speaking of baby, see the little blond in Kendyll's arms? That is her new obsession, a gift from Anna, Ava & Alexis. She doesn't go ANYWHERE without Baby!

Superstar!!

We had a nice low-key weekend. Filled with watching lots of "B-Ball!! B-Ball" (as spoken by Bennett). I'm in 2nd to last place in my bracket pool (out of, like, 70 some people. Nice, eh?). The weather was beautiful. Not much else to say, so lets get right to pictures!

I spent a little time shopping for our vacation in May. B&K scored new shades and liked to walk around like rock stars.

And we spent some time hanging out outside.

This is one I snapped of Bennett . .. I gave B&K each a little bag of pretzels and he proceeded to walk into the playroom and sit up against the wall in the sunshine. And he methodically ate every single one.

We're getting ready for a super busy time. Tim is tied up in meetings / work dinners all week. Then he'll start a cycle of travel again. First stop -- 3 weeks in Germany in April. Should be a fun time.

Happy {belated} St. Patrick's Day!!!

As you may recall from years past, St. Patrick's Day is my favorite holiday. Evidence here and here.

We all had a fabulous St. Patrick's Day. Special thanks to Nana & Papa for coming over to hang out with B&K . . . Tim & I were able to meet up with some friends to enjoy a few green beers.

And thanks to A for snapping these pictures yesterday. The weather has been just beautiful!! (they have recently become experts at saying "cheese" whenever the camera comes out. So I can almost guarentee that is what they were doing in these photos)

Cupcakes & MOD

First off - HOLY CRAP!! I didn't realize it had been so long since I updated the blog! So sorry . . . I am total slacker these days! No excuses!!

I mentioned in a previous post that Feb. & March were busy months with the birthdays of many of our twin/triplet friends. Last weekend we attended the last party for a while. Louden & Keegan are celebrating the big 0-2 on Sunday and we joined them at their house last weekend for a playdate and lunch. Of course, B&K's favorite part was the "Cup-cakes!!". They are obsessed with sweets like "cooookies" and "cup-cakes" these days (wonder where they get that from???).

And speaking of the Murray Boys, they (along with their super cool mom, Jenn) will be participating in the March of Dimes walk next month. You may be saying to yourself "gee, Sara . . . weren't B&K preemies? Why haven't you created a team this year??". You may recall we didn't participate last year because Tim & I were in Vegas that weekend (and we donated to our friends Regan & Caden instead). Well this year we were on the fence about when we would be taking our family vacation (which is now in May -- although we may still be out of town the weekend of the walk) . . . so instead of creating our own team, this year we are supporting the Murray team!! We may not be there in person, but we will surely be there in spirit. The March of Dimes is a wonderful organization; if you would like to donate to the cause (and support Team Murray!) please click on the button below!

I am soooo glad it is Friday. More so because I have an awesome MoMs day & night out planned tomorrow with some of my good friends (all twin/triplet moms). I'm sure there will be many stories to tell from that!! :)

Things heard recently . . .

You know this "word explosion" in toddlers that everyone talks about? Yeah, well it is going down in our house right now. B&K are repeating everything these days, which makes for fun times. Especially when they are playing with a toy that says something . . . you hear the toy, then the babe repeat. Over & over & over & over & over again. Other fun things heard recently:

- Last weekend Bennett was wearing a red & gray rugby shirt with a logo emblem on it. When he woke up from his nap he was pointing to it and saying (clear as day) "BUCKEYES" over & over & over again. Then when I said "O-H" he repeated "I-O" with a "go bucks" right after. Uh-oh!!! Tim has threatened to start docking A's pay (totally kidding!!). He recognizes the block O every where . . . on the TV, on stranger's coats & shirts -- both he & K can be heard screaming "Buckeyes" all the time. My dad & Aunt Kathy should be proud. {and note, we've started hard-core "Go Irish!!" training as well!}.

- As soon as I posted a while back about B&K not saying my "name", they have quickly become pros at screaming for "MomEEE". My fav is when they are in their cribs and we hear them over the monitor:

K - MomEE. MomEE. hi MomEEE!!!
B - no MomEE. DadEE!! DadEE!!
K - hi DadEEE!!

- They also call Tabasco "baco" now. "Hi Baco". "Lay Down, Baco". "Bad dog!" are phrases heard often around here.

- Kendyll can now say Bennett. Although it is more like "Ban-ette!". Yesterday morning she was SCREAMING his name while they were in their cribs. And I was trying to get them to come down the stairs one day (like herding cats, I tell you!) and I said "Bennett, come here!" and my mini-me said "Ban-ette, come here!".

- They also LOVE to look for my brother, Mark. Who lives 2 hours away. If they hear his name, Bennett will start walking around the house: "Mark! Maaark!!! Where Mark?!?". Too cute.

Sorry, no pictures today. I'll try to get some up soon!
